Resources for the independent Spanish learner

I found this fab quote today:

"A few of my keener students have asked me to give them with advice and hints to help them keep their Spanish going over the summer, in anticipation of next academic year. Earlier today, over at http://www.asisehace.net/blog, I provided them with a list of websites containing audio and video resources that will help them keep their Spanish ticking over and, who knows? They might even learn one or two new things. The list is copied below:..."

You should read the whole article.

What about you? Do you have a list of fun and engaging resources to learn a language?

Actually, I do, and perhaps I will create a blog post on this very topic for next week.

Hey Alice!
This is the first year I am using my blog to provide enrichment activities for my students. I learned so much last year about how to use social networking sites and applications, and I believe it is so important for students to practice a foreign language and math over the summer... so... I am going to post José's post (if it is ok with him) to give my students some other options. Right now I have them practicing vocabulary with quizlet. I love the sites on José's post that are more communicative in nature. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
